My brother arrived from Utah on Thursday the 7th in time for dinner. After dinner we hurried to the Carousel to ride the Merry-go-round and get some yummy ice cream.
On Friday we packed a picnic and headed out to Virginia City. We were just getting a good start when we stopped for lunch and then got caught in an incredible rain storm which called the fun to a halt and so we went home without finishing our day. But the kids didn't seem to mind. What we did was fun.

On Saturday my SIL and I went to the Farmer's Market in the AM - was very successful in selling bags :) Then we packed another picnic and headed out for Gate of the Mountains. Just as we were getting there another thunder storm hit. I was afraid we were doomed but by the time 3:00 came and it was our turn to load the boat the rain was done and it was a beautiful afternoon! This is a must for anyone visiting Helena! It was so much fun. It took us about 2 hours. There are fun things to see along the Missouri River.
Sunday we had a quiet day at home. It was fun taking my family to church with me. On Monday morning Lynn and Donnlee both left for Billings to work so Ann and I spent the next couple of days just playing with the kids and having a grand time. On Monday we went to the Castle park - that's what the kids called it. They had a major fun playground!

Then we went out to Hauser Lake to our friend's condo and the kids played in the lake for hours. It was so relaxing. Then we roasted hot dogs before bringing the kids home for a bath and bed! They slept so good that night. It was wonderful. Tuesday we went to the fabric store to get fabric for the bags that we made for the little girls, then to the dollar store and back to the carousel to finish using the ride tokens we didn't have time for on Thursday night. Ann left to meet Donnlee in Bozeman about 5:30 pm - they then went on to Yellowstone for a couple of days. You will have to check out their blog if you want the Yellowstone details.

It was so much fun to have family come visit and be able to show them around Helena. Thanks guys for coming! We love you and miss you!!!!!!

Fun! We did Gates of the Mountain years and years ago and I remember just loving it. What a great weekend/week you've had --you make me want to come and visit. :)
