Update

I must say that I am a terrible blogger! Oh well, my time has been anything but my own lately. I was put in about a month ago as our Ward's activity chairman. Just in time to plan the Christmas party which was on the 18th. So between Seminary and planning a party I've been a little busy. Plus trying to get Christmas ready around here. I think my shopping is done - not everything wrapped yet but I have a good start on that. We are leaving on Wednesday for Blackfoot for Christmas. We get to start our vacation out with playing with Clay and Brynlie for the evening while their momma and daddy go to the temple. Yay for us!!!!!! This will be the first Christmas that Lynn has spent at home with his parents since before his mission - 30 years. He's pretty excited. Now if the weather will cooperate for the weekend it will be grand.

Back to the ward party - it was really fun! We had a roast beef dinner, games, stories, songs, Santa, treats galore and good friends. All the major components for a great evening. The dinner received rave reviews. We fed about 130-140 people. I was so tired when it was over I crashed on the couch as soon as we walked in the door and Lynn woke me up at 11:00 so I could go to bed.

Earlier in day - like Seminary early - was our Seminary class party. That was also really fun. We shared traditions and exchanged gifts and had a nice time. I gave the kids a pocket sized Book of Mormon so they could always carry it with them. They seemed to like it. There is such power in that Book. I wanted them to be armed with it always. I just realized that I didn't take any pictures. I'm really bad at the picture taking thing. But we did have fun.

So this morning I've been reading my scriptures, talking to my amazing hubby and updating! I'm so excited for our Christmas break and to be with my amazing kids! It just doesn't get any better than that!

I hope you have a happy day and that your Sabbath brings you closer to the Savior!

Just wanted to share this picture of my beautiful Momma! She is still in Michigan with Carla enjoying the Christmas season there :)
